Head, Project Engineering

Our client, a major operator in the O&G sector, is looking for a Head, Project Engineering to join them on a permanent basis at their HQ in the Middle East. On top of an exceptional tax-free base salary, you will also receive a market-leading additional benefits package. Single or family status will be supported. Key Responsibilities : – Lead and manage diverse capital projects, ensuring they meet safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards. – Act as the single point of responsibility for projects within the section, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. – Develop effective tendering and contracting strategies and manage contractor relationships. – Oversee project controls related to scope, schedule, budget, and resources, providing proactive solutions to challenges. – Ensure effective risk management across all project phases, identifying potential issues and implementing mitigation strategies. – Lead, mentor, and guide project engineers, fostering their development within the company. Requirements : – Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Master’s Degree preferred). – 15+ years of experience in engineering and project management, especially within the O&G industry. – Expertise in managing complex projects in brownfield environments. – Experience working in projects with strict regulatory compliance.
