Job Purpose
Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary organization responsible for safe, reliable, environmentally sound, and economically optimized offshore operations.
Oversee planning and coordination of field activities (drilling, projects, shutdowns, well work, integrity inspections) to develop integrated work plans that optimize resource usage, minimize downtime, and align with corporate objectives to maximize shareholder value.
Job Context & Major Challenges This leadership role significantly impacts offshore asset performance, risk management, and facility reliability, ensuring sustained delivery of gas to onshore facilities.
Responsible for managing all offshore production and maintenance activities, including well operations, logistics, shutdowns, brownfield interfaces, and simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) with drilling and completions.
Oversees complex, geographically dispersed offshore facilities, including living quarters and more than 10 remote wellhead platforms with over 100 wells, supporting large-scale gas feedstock delivery and multiple pipeline projects.
Manages operations, maintenance, accommodation services, logistics, shutdowns, and project execution, including SIMOPS involving brownfield scopes.
Key Challenges Include :
Ensuring offshore safety performance aligns with corporate objectives.
Balancing long-term facility availability, reliability, and integrity with production targets.
Identifying cost-effective improvement opportunities.
Operating in a challenging offshore environment with limited infield support.
Managing SIMOPS with drilling and significant brownfield activities.
Adapting quickly to changing operational requirements.
Making critical decisions during emergencies, including potential platform abandonment.
Executing shutdowns with limited internal resources.
Leading a diverse, multicultural team during offshore rotations, including 200+ contracted personnel.
Managing competing demands within budget constraints.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Experience & Certifications
Minimum 12 years in oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
At least 5 years in an Offshore Installation Manager role.
Strong operational background.
Independently managed OIM responsibilities for 5+ years.
OPITO certified.
Start-up and commissioning experience is a plus.
