Electrical Technician

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance, repair, and installation activities during the shutdown period of an oil & gas, petrochemical, or refinery facility. The role requires strong hands‑on experience in troubleshooting, cable termination, motor and control panel maintenance, and working safely under shutdown schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance, installation, and repair activities on motors, switchgear, MCC panels, and lighting systems.
• Perform cable glanding, termination, and continuity testing in accordance with project requirements.
• Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and control circuits to ensure safe operation.
• Assist in pre‑commissioning and shutdown‑related electrical tasks as directed by the supervisor or engineer.
• Follow all HSE guidelines and participate in toolbox talks and permit‑to‑work systems.
• Ensure safe isolation, tagging, and verification procedures are implemented before starting any work.
• Support in testing electrical systems and documenting inspection results.
• Report defects, unsafe conditions, and maintenance issues promptly to the immediate supervisor.
