Overview

Caregiver position in Doha, Qatar. The role involves providing care and support to elderly or disabled individuals in their own homes. Salary : 1200. Open to local and immigrant applicants. No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the health, emotional, physical and social needs of the patient or client.
  • Develop, implement and review care plans for patients / clients according to their individual needs.
  • Help with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and other daily activities.
  • Monitor health condition by taking vital signs such as temperature and pulse rate.
  • Assist with meals; either preparing them or ensuring that they are taken as prescribed by medical professionals.
  • Provide companionship; conversing with the patient / client about their interests or life experiences.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols are followed when caring for the patient / client in their home or when transporting them outside of it.

    • Qualifications

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently is required.
  • Previous experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided on the job.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to develop relationships based on trust with patients / clients as well as family members or other carers is required.
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations is essential.
