Telecommunication Expert | QatarProject Management (QPM) | Qatar

Jobdescription / Role

Employment : FullTime

  • Provide overall management anddirection for the telecommunication elements on the projectincluding : Radio (GSM-R, FRMCS), Multi-Service Network, CCTV,Public Address, Passenger Information and Entertainment System,Time Distribution System, PABX, Emergency CallSystem.
  • Assist and producetechnical documents related to the telecommunication elements(design, tender documents, technical memo, Tender Evaluation,etc).
  • Perform site inspectionsduring the different stages of the installations to ensure the workon site is compliant.
  • Provideassistance and solutions to the contractor’s technicalqueries during all the stages of the design, installation andcommissioning of the works.
  • Conductdesign review activities and to ensure all Client requirements aremet.
  • Report any major issues orexpected conflicts.
  • Provideleadership in the resolution of all design and technical issuesrelating to the railway.
  • Preparepresentations for Senior and Executive Management on all technicalrelated matters.
  • Provide regularreport updates on progress of resolution of all outstandingissues.
  • Coordinate with multiplediscipline leads for technicalmatters.

Requirements :

  • At least 15 years of related rail project experience includinginvolvement in design and installation through to testing andcommissioning of major conventional / high speed railwayprojects.
  • Proven ability to performin a managerial capacity, excellent written and oral communicationsskills (including strong presentation skills), and a thoroughknowledge of industry practices and regulations arerequired.

    • GCCexperience

  • Ability to communicateand report to senior management and effectively liaise with otherstakeholders including, contractors, suppliers, engineers andregulatory authorities, in the introduction of newtechnologies.
  • Ability to multitaskand effectively problem-solve under highpressure.
