Overview
Lead and execute engineering activities across all project phases-from concept development through FEED, detailed design, and commissioning. The successful candidate will ensure technical integrity, compliance with QatarEnergy standards, and effective coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
Experience
Conduct materials and corrosion engineering activities and site surveys for various projects.
Ensure adherence to QatarEnergy's technical assurance practices, engineering standards, and environmental and safety policies.
Review and evaluate technical deviations, variations, and compliance with approved codes and standards.
Support the Engineering Department in updating and applying QatarEnergy standards and amendments to external standards.
Plan and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure timely and high-quality technical service delivery.
Develop and review comprehensive multi-disciplinary work scopes and coordinate engineering designs.
Review and approve method statements from contractors, ensuring scope compliance and resolving technical issues.
Develop, update, and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities and contribute to external FEED / EPIC schedules.
Evaluate technical bid packages for scope compliance and participate in contract change / variation reviews.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Corrosion Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience in materials and corrosion engineering within the oil & gas or energy sector.
Strong knowledge of international engineering codes and standards.
Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinating complex projects.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
