Design Engineer - Water (Infrastructure, Storm drainage, wastewater, water supply and irrigation)

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Design Engineer specializing in water-related infrastructure projects to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing and developing storm drainage, wastewater, water supply and irrigation systems for various projects.

Responsibilities

Undertake design and modelling works for storm drainage, wastewater, water supply and irrigation infrastructure projects.

Prepare reports and design documentation for storm drainage, wastewater, water supply and irrigation infrastructure projects.

Undertake modelling for the wet services with different kinds of modelling software and strive for modelling excellence.

Validate the modelling output with engineering calculations.

Ensure quality and timely delivery of infrastructure design works for projects to AECOM clients within the required allocated budgets.

Utilize software such as InfoWorks ICM, InfoWorks WS, WaterGEM, SewerGEM, Civil3D, Navisworks, AutoCAD etc.

Coordinate with authorities for design and NOC approvals.

Understand Qatar and KSA design guidelines and authorities requirements.

Coordinate with CAD technicians and provide design input.

Attend progress meetings internally and externally and support senior engineers with recording and tracking of actions.

Support graduate engineers in their technical development.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in a design consultancy in water engineering projects with a focus on water supply, firefighting, wastewater and irrigation systems.

Professional recognition or working towards it.
