Cash Management : Process and record cash management transactions, including miscellaneous receipts and immigration payments.
Shareholders’ Loans : Maintain loan schedules, reconcile balances, and book interest income and repayments.
Bank Loans : Record availment, repayments, amortization of fees, and closure of loans upon vessel disposal.
Intercompany Transactions : Initiate, approve, and record entries via AGIS and Oracle GL, including debit notes and memos.
Month-End Closing : Prepare and post accruals, revaluations, recurring entries, and investment-related adjustments.
Reconciliations : Review balance sheet and P&L accounts and prepare monthly bank and account reconciliations.
Business Finance Activities : Process entries for vessel disposals, refunds, receivable reclassifications, and fixed asset / stock verifications.
Management Reporting & Analysis : Support budgeting, upload data to Cognos, prepare management reports, assist in QBRs, and perform asset impairment evaluations.
Business Support : Provide financial insights, pricing and cost models, and forecasts for business performance.
Governance & Compliance : Implement finance policies, ensure internal control compliance, and highlight necessary policy updates.
Stakeholder Relations : Coordinate with internal teams, auditors, and external parties on financial and reporting matters.
Audit & Reporting Support : Prepare schedules and provide data for internal and external audits.
HSEQ Compliance : Ensure adherence to Milaha’s Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality standards and participate in related initiatives.
Other Duties : Assist in preparing business performance presentations and perform other assigned tasks.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
Professional Qualifications like C.A., ACCA, CIMA etc. or equivalent is preferred
3 - 5 years of experience in Finance or Accounting or related business discipline
Exposure to IFRS is preferable
Prior experience in Shipping, Maritime and / or logistics business / industry is preferred
Middle East experience is preferable
Good knowledge of Microsoft office applications and ERP software
Proficient in English (must have) - Arabic (desirable)
Good knowledge of contemporary theories and practices related to Accounting and Finance
