About The School

Compass International School Doha, established in 2006, is one of Qatar’s leading premium British international schools. With three campuses – Al Themaid, Madinat Khalifa, and Gharaffa – the school educates students from Early Years through to Secondary, offering a bespoke British curriculum. The Role

The school is seeking an experienced and creative Librarian to join the team from 1 October 2025 . The successful candidate will nurture a love of reading, inspire curiosity, and create an engaging library environment. Working closely with teachers and Milepost Leaders, the Librarian will link library activities to Global Campus challenges, IPC units, and theme weeks, ensuring students are supported as enthusiastic readers and skilled researchers.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Leading and managing the school library with initiative and creativity.
  • Promoting reading through interactive storytelling and dynamic displays.
  • Supporting teaching staff with resources that connect to the curriculum.
  • Encouraging students to develop independent research and literacy skills.
  • Fostering a welcoming, inspiring library culture.

About You

The ideal candidate will :

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or equivalent.
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Possess excellent IT skills and knowledge of library databases.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Be able to adapt to a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Preferably be under husband / family sponsorship in Qatar.
  • Speak excellent English.

    • Additional knowledge of conservation and preservation techniques for library materials is an advantage.
