Mandarin Oriental, Doha is looking for a Credit Manager to join our Finance team. The hotel is located in Msheireb Downtown Doha, with proximity to Souq Waqif, the Museum of Islamic Art and the business district, West Bay.

Scope of Position

The Credit Manager maintains proper credit procedures throughout the hotel in accordance with local and corporate policies and procedures. He / she will control and monitor prompt billing and collection of all accounts receivable items to maintain the lowest possible level of outstanding accounts. Primary responsibilities include managing the hotel debtor’s function : processing credit applications, invoicing, debt collection, AR cashiering, reconciliations and month-end requirements.

As Credit Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties :

  • Establish and maintain local credit policies and procedures regarding billing, credit cards, inquiries, cheque encashing, etc.
  • Ensure all departments within the hotel conform to established guidelines for credit and collection policies and procedures.
  • Work closely and communicate with Room Sales, Events, Front Office and Restaurants colleagues.
  • Have thorough knowledge of all policies and procedures as they relate to credit and receivables.
  • Work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner.
  • Commit to following all local corporate policies and procedures as they relate to credit and receivables.
  • Investigate fully all requests for billing and act as final authority over credit approval.
  • Inspect all in-house accounts (PM and PX) to ensure adherence to the hotel's credit policy; assist with the collection efforts of these accounts where necessary.

As Credit Manager, We Expect From You

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as Credit Manager or Accounts Receivable Manager in a similar capacity in a hotel.
  • Pre-opening experience preferred
  • Able to work in a pre-opening environment
  • Excellent communication skills within the organization. Proactive communicator.
  • Strong managerial / supervisory skills to meet deadlines, plan ahead, be result-driven and flexible.
