Waiter

Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

Greet customers promptly and courteously.

Present menus, explain dishes and daily specials, and make recommendations when required.

Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff.

Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner.

Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any issues promptly.

Clear and reset tables efficiently after guests leave.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining area.

Assist in preparing the restaurant before and after service (setting tables, folding napkins, restocking supplies, etc.).

Handle billing and payment processes accurately.

Follow all safety and sanitation policies during service.

Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and other restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations.

Uphold the brand’s image and service standards.

Qualifications and Skills :

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous experience as a waiter / waitress is a plus but not mandatory.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.

Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Basic math skills for handling cash or POS systems.
