Job Description
We are seeking a Quality & Safety Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Air Safety & Quality team within the organization, ensuring effective coordination with relevant partners and suppliers, and serving as the primary liaison with the end user.
As such, the successful candidate will be required to deliver :
- Responsible for the delivery of safety, compliance and quality assurance oversight
- To provide advice and support on all safety, compliance and quality assurance issues,
- Ensure that standards and statutory legislation are applied.
- Acting as a positive role model for the corporate ethos of continuous improvement
- Measure performance and results against Key Performance Indicators, thus ensuring that the organization delivers consistently high standards of safety and compliance.
- Providing safety & quality support to the Quality, Safety & Airworthiness Manager and their appointed responsible individuals.
Reporting to the Quality, Safety & Airworthiness Manager, this position will predominantly be based within the associated Military location(s) and will manage the general day to day safety & quality management of the assigned platforms and equipment.
Key Responsibilities :
To develop robust auditing systems and processes for ensuring compliance with standards and polices at local management levels.Responsible for personal and team compliance with Health and Safety, Security and Environment / Sustainable Development Policies, ensuring working practices minimise risk to self, work colleagues, customers, staff and the environment.To coordinate safety training through the engagement of key staff, at all levels and groups across the industry. To ensure quality assurance of the accepted maintenance scheme ensuring compliance against published company and local standards.To comply with all legal and statutory obligations applicable to this role.To demonstrate to the customer organisation a professional and competent approach to the management of safety management system. This includes the investigation of all incidents and accidents and taking appropriate remedial action where standards have not been met or where improvements can be made.To lead, motivate and inspire a safety culture across the entire Organisation, providing a clear vision in line with the overriding principles as an aspiring centre of excellence setting strategies and goals to deliver continuous improvement.To sustain the change in culture, providing the necessary leadership, support and encouragement to the team to enable them to act with increased confidence and levels of empowerment.Ensure that professional advice on all matters relating to safety, compliance and quality assurance as well as environmental management, capacity issues and any other operational or technical matters is provided to internal and external customers.Conduct risk and hazard reviews.Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of statutory requirements defined in the Air Navigation Order and those regulatory requirements set by the CAA / EASA and local organisation. To ensure compliance against other external safety and environmental standards.Ensure that all accidents and incidents are reported in accordance with local policy.Conduct safety tours / inspections in line with agreed schedules.Ensure that all procedures and processes are maintained in line with local legislation, regulatory and corporate policies.Ensure that all internal and external audit findings are addressed within agreed timescales.Monitor and manage, where applicable, all 3rd party contractors and their activities.Requirements

Post Graduate or Bachelor's degree qualification (Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Engineering or other relevant discipline)Experience Requirements :
