Event Operations Manager – Rosewood Doha

Job Summary : To manage and supervise the Events department and oversee private event areas, ensuring company standards and surpassing guest expectations in quality and service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Guest Satisfaction :

Deliver brand promise, reinforcing Rosewood Hotels and Resorts values.

  • Ensure associates provide excellent service across divisions.
  • Observe guest–associate interactions; coach staff as needed.
  • Resolve guest and associate complaints quickly and efficiently.
  • Maintain positive guest and colleague interactions.
  • Implement agreed beverage policy throughout the property.
  • Finance / Administration :
  • Assist the Director of Events with rota and staffing of events.

  • Prepare forecast and submit weekly labor cost to F&B Management.
  • Submit actual labor figures to F&B Management monthly.
  • Operations :
  • Manage the banqueting department to meet guest expectations and budgets.

  • Assign a supervisor to each event.
  • Plan equipment, linen, glassware, silver requirements.
  • Supervise full‑time and casual staff during set up and tear down.
  • Oversee the delivery and condition of supplier items.
  • Ensure rooms set up 1 hour before event or per the Banqueting Event Order.
  • Supervise events in accordance with guest wishes on event sheet.
  • Train new associates; ensure adherence to Company standards.
  • Maintain grooming standards for staff.
  • Conduct daily and monthly operations meetings with Director of Events.
  • Attend weekly BEO communication meetings and brief sales & marketing.
  • Handle last‑minute changes; coordinate with relevant departments.
  • Record all event items in Micros for invoicing; inform F&B of complaints.
  • Perform any additional duties as instructed by Director of Events.
  • Standard Responsibilities :
  • Adhere to Rosewood policies.

  • Act as brand ambassador; uphold brand integrity.
  • Model company values and culture.
  • Review brand and quality standards regularly.
  • Implement new technology to improve productivity.
  • Maintain inclusive environment with effective communication.
  • Support recruitment with Talent & Culture Department.
  • Develop training needs and support associates.
  • Lead by example in appearance and behavior.
  • Confidentiality : Maintain confidentiality of company, guest, and associate information.
  • Health & Safety :
  • Comply with Health & Safety rules and procedures.

  • Wear appropriate protective clothing.
  • Report defects and accidents immediately.
  • Attend Fire, Health & Safety training.
  • Understand regulations, risk assessments, fire & bomb procedures.
  • Other : Perform additional related tasks as needed; flexibility in working hours.
