Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, grinding, and removing old coatings.
  
• Apply primers, paints, protective coatings, and finishing materials using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  
• Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications.
  
• Ensure correct colour, thickness, coverage, and surface finish.
  
• Inspect completed work and repair defects such as runs, bubbles, cracks, or uneven coating.
  
• Protect nearby equipment and work areas before painting.
  
• Clean and maintain painting tools, spray machines, and equipment.
  
• Follow work permits, safety procedures, and PPE requirements.
  
• Maintain proper housekeeping and safely handle paints, solvents, and chemicals.
  

Requirements

Requirements

• Secondary education or relevant trade certification is preferred.
  
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant painting experience.
  
• Experience in industrial, construction, oil and gas, or marine painting is preferred.
  
• Knowledge of surface preparation, paint mixing, primers, and coating application.
  
• Ability to use brushes, rollers, and spray-painting equipment.
  
• Basic understanding of coating specifications and required paint thickness.
  
• Physically fit and comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
  
• Good knowledge of workplace safety and chemical-handling procedures.
  
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  
• Valid QID and immediate availability are preferred for local hiring.

Requirements
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials; work in confined or elevated spaces. Experience: Previous experience in insulation work is an advantage but not always required for helper roles. Knowledge: Basic understanding of insulation materials, tools, and techniques (training is usually provided for helpers). Team Player: Willingness to work under supervision and assist skilled workers. Work Conditions: Comfortable working in cold environments, outdoors, or at heights. Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; basic understanding of workplace safety signs and labels.
