Financial Controller (Roads O&M)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Financial Controller to manage the controlling functions for this major joint venture (annual turnover of approx. 400 MQAR). The controller will play a critical role in the start-up phase of the project and throughout its operational lifecycle, helping the CFO to structure the joint venture’s financial governance, establish financial robust processes, manage the financial supplier, information system, and support strategic and operation decision making. The position requires a hands-on approach and good coordination with the UJV financial partners.

Responsibilities

Start-up Phase

• Assist the CFO in defining and implementing financial and administrative procedures tailored to the project’s needs, in coordination with the JV partners (2) and financial supplier.
• Define analytics and implement ERP.
• Set up consolidated reporting frameworks that meet both operational needs and JV members’ requirements.
• Set up internal control processes, risk management frameworks, and governance tools.
• Support the onboarding of the finance supplier.
• Coordinate with legal, tax, and audit advisors during the structuring and launch phase.
• Ensure proper contractual compliance and risk mitigation from a finance and tax perspective.
