The Legal Expert in Human Resources provides professional legal support to ensure the organization’s HR operations comply with labor laws, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. The role involves advising on employee relations, drafting HR legal documents, mitigating legal risks, and supporting compliance initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on employment contracts, recruitment processes, onboarding, termination, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with local labor laws, regulations, and internal governance frameworks.
- Draft, review, and update HR-related legal documents, including employment contracts, notices, settlements, and internal regulations.
- Support HR in managing employee relations issues by providing legal assessments and recommending appropriate actions.
- Conduct and support internal investigations related to misconduct, grievances, and workplace violations.
- Advise on organizational restructuring, workforce planning, and compliance with employment regulations.
- Represent the organization in labor disputes, mediations, and communications with regulators when required.
- Monitor changes in labor laws and employment regulations and brief HR leadership on required adjustments.
- Develop and deliver training sessions on labor law compliance, ethical conduct, and HR legal guidelines.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel when specialized expertise or representation is needed.
Academic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized university (required) .Master’s degree in Labor Law, Employment Law, Corporate Law, or related field (preferred) .Relevant legal certifications or professional qualifications (e.g., Bar admission, HR legal compliance certifications) are a plus .Strong knowledge of local labor regulations and HR legal frameworks.Seniority Level
