Sika is embarking on the construction of a new plant and the consolidation of its existing sites in Qatar. We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead, coordinate and oversee the full cycle of these strategic projects. The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of industrial construction and proven project management experience to ensure timely, cost‑efficient and safe delivery in line with Sika’s global standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, design and execution of the new plant construction and site consolidation projects.
- Develop and manage detailed project timelines, budgets and resource plans.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (local, regional and global teams) and external partners (consultants, contractors, suppliers).
- Oversee construction activities ensuring compliance with design specifications, Sika standards, local regulations and HSE requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews addressing deviations, risks and bottlenecks.
- Manage contractors and subcontractors ensuring quality, cost and schedule commitments are met.
- Act as the main point of contact for project stakeholders including authorities, consultants and vendors.
- Report regularly on progress, risks and financials to senior management.
- Ensure alignment of project objectives with business needs and operational requirements.
- Ensure all construction and consolidation activities follow Qatari regulatory requirements, Sika internal standards and best practices; drive a strong culture of safety and sustainability throughout project execution.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.Minimum 5 years proven experience managing industrial construction projects, preferably in chemical, building materials or manufacturing industries.Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent); certification an asset.Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑million‑dollar projects within scope, budget and timelines.Experience working in GCC / Qatar projects with knowledge of local regulations, standards and permitting processes.Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.Strong command of English; Arabic is an advantage.Key Competencies
