Consultant / Specialist General Surgery

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and assess patients with surgical needs, determining the necessity for surgical intervention

Perform a variety of surgical procedures such as appendectomies, hernia repairs, cholecystectomies, and more

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans

Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, postoperative care, and recovery expectations

Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on advancements in surgical techniques and best practices

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree with a valid medical license

Board certification in General Surgery

Proven experience in general surgery with a focus on achieving positive patient outcomes

Strong proficiency in performing complex surgical procedures

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and patient interaction

Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively
