Key Responsibilities

Assist radiologists and technicians during diagnostic imaging procedures (MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound, etc.)

Prepare patients physically and emotionally for radiological exams and interventions

Monitor patient vitals and manage safety during procedures involving contrast agents or sedation

Ensure proper documentation and patient consent before procedures

Provide post-procedure care and patient education

Maintain infection control and safety protocols in all imaging areas

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care

Handle emergencies in imaging settings (e.g., contrast reactions, allergic responses) efficiently

This position requires both technical and interpersonal skills, as the nurse is often the first and last point of contact for patients undergoing imaging diagnostics.

Requirements Education :

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent from a recognized institution

Radiology nursing certification or relevant post-graduate training is a plus

License / Registration :

Valid nursing license from home country

Eligible for licensure with Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) or Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP)

Experience :

Minimum of a year of nursing experience, preferably with 1 year in a radiology or imaging department

Experience in IV cannulation, contrast administration, or procedural sedation preferred

Skills & Competencies :

Excellent communication and patient care skills

Knowledge of radiology safety protocols (radiation protection, contrast use, etc.)

Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly

Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR)

Salary and Benefits

Monthly Salary :

QAR 15,000 – QAR 20,000 (based on experience and credentials)
