About the Role

We areseeking Senior Lecturers / Lecturers in Cyber Security to teach, mentor,and contribute to the continuous improvement of our computing programmes. Therole requires both academic and professional engagement, fostering studentsuccess and advancing the College’s strategic goals.

Facultyjoining at this stage will be part of a rapidly developing academic communitywith opportunities to progress to senior academic and leadership roles (e.g.,Programme Leader, Associate Dean, or Dean), depending on performance andinstitutional contribution.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess postgraduate modules in cybersecurity, as well as undergraduate modules in computer science, softwareengineering, and related areas.
• Develop and update teaching materials in linewith current academic and industry developments.
• Contribute to the design, validation, andenhancement of academic programmes.
• Prepare and moderate assessments in accordancewith LJMU academic regulations and assessment frameworks.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate projects and provide academic mentoring to students.
• Engage in research and scholarly activitiesaligned with the College’s strategic priorities.
• Collaborate with industry partners andadvisory boards to enhance programme relevance.
• Contribute to the delivery of continuingprofessional development (CPD) and short courses.
• Participate in academic committees,departmental meetings, and institutional initiatives.
• Commit to continuous professional developmentand support the university’s growth and quality enhancement strategies.
