We are working with a leading energy company to recruit a
Cost & Reporting Analyst
for their onshore operations in Doha. This role is central to delivering cost transparency, analytics, and reporting across the business, enabling informed decision‑making and fostering a cost‑oriented culture.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and maintenance of management reports and Power BI dashboards, providing a consolidated view of financial performance across the organisation.
Deliver budget oversight and management reporting for a total budget of approximately USD 420M, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Manage reporting for budget and forecast cycles, consolidating SAP data into insightful reports and visualisations for management.
Drive reporting aspects of monthly closures, including accruals, allocations, and other adjustments, ensuring alignment with IFRS and internal standards.
Develop dashboards to monitor procurement compliance, verifying all Purchase Requisitions against budget, allocations, and forecasts.
Analyse contracts, Purchase Orders, and Service Orders using SAP and Power BI to monitor terms, compliance, and anticipate cost evolution.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Supply Chain, and business units to gather requirements and ensure reporting meets analytical needs.
Maintain SAP reporting structures and master data to enhance accuracy and efficiency of reporting.
Respond to audit queries using reliable, system‑based data from SAP and Power BI.
Technical Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 8 years’ experience in cost analysis, financial reporting, or related roles, preferably in the upstream oil and gas sector.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business‑related discipline.
Extensive hands‑on experience with SAP, including BW / 4HANA and cost‑related data modules.
Expert‑level Power BI skills, including data modelling (DAX), report development, and dashboard design.
Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
Strong understanding of IFRS and financial processes, including cost allocations and accruals.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
Strong collaboration, organisation, and problem‑solving abilities.
Proactive, self‑motivated, and able to work independently.
