Instrument Technician

Overview

Install, maintain, calibrate and repair field instruments such as pressure transmitters, level sensors, flow meters, pH / DO / ORP analyzers, temperature sensors and gas detectors. Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in instrumentation and control systems (SCADA, PLC, DCS). Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance tasks based on schedules and work orders. Maintain proper documentation of calibration reports, maintenance activities and instrument history. Assist in commissioning and integration of new instrumentation and control systems. Ensure accurate loop checking and function testing of instrumentation systems. Adhere to safety procedures and company standards during maintenance activities. Support in control panel inspections, wiring checks and system diagnostics. Collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams for coordinated maintenance tasks. Identify faulty equipment and suggest replacement or upgrades as needed.
