JD OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (OFFSHORE) QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation / Electronics Engineering (or equivalent).
- 5–10 years’ experience in oil & gas projects with at least 3 years in brownfield construction / commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems : LV / MV distribution motors transformers UPS lighting field instruments analyzers control valves DCS / PLC systems F&G systems.
- Familiarity with international standards (IEC IEEE NEC ISA API ATEX etc.).
Construction Support
Review IFC drawings specifications vendor documents and method statements for constructability.Support site execution teams in cable routing terminations tray installation lighting earthing junction boxes and equipment hook‑up.Ensure construction activities comply with project safety standards QA / QC procedures and international codes (IEC NEC IEEE ISA etc.).Coordinate with structural mechanical and piping disciplines for interface management in brownfield conditions.Brownfield‑Specific Responsibilities
Carry out site surveys to assess existing installations and identify tie‑in points for modifications.Evaluate shutdown work packs ensuring constructability within tight shutdown / turnaround windows.Support simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) planning ensuring safety of live plant systems during modifications.Identify potential clashes and propose field engineering solutions.Key Skills
