Job Description We are looking for a detail-oriented
Lifting Inspector - CCU
to support day-to-day activities related to the rental, inspection, and maintenance of lifting equipment and Cargo Carrying Units (CCUs). The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of relevant international standards (DNV, ISO, BS-EN, etc.) and experience in coordinating with multiple teams to ensure seamless equipment operations and compliance. Key Responsibilities Technical Knowledge :
Possess working knowledge of international standards related to lifting equipment and CCUs (DNV, ISO, BS-EN, etc.). Client & Internal Coordination :
Handle incoming calls and emails from clients, delivery teams, and drivers; provide prompt and accurate responses. Data & Reporting :
Update rental and maintenance trackers daily using company software; ensure accuracy and timely submission to principals. Interdepartmental Communication :
Liaise with foremen and other departments (Electrical, AC, QA / QC) to follow up on equipment status and ensure on-time completion of client requirements. Inspection & Certification :
Coordinate with third-party inspectors (TPI) to maintain valid lifting certificates per client and regulatory requirements. Inbound / Outbound Inspections :
Conduct or oversee inspections for all incoming and outgoing equipment to assess cleanliness and damage; update inspection records in the system. Checklist & QA / QC Verification :
Review pre-hire and post-hire checklists for containers, reefers, and other assets; coordinate with QA / QC for final verification. Equipment Readiness :
Ensure all CCU units are properly allocated, maintained, and ready for deployment for the next rental. Documentation :
Maintain all documentation in compliance with operational and QA / QC standards. HSE Compliance :
Promote and apply HSE best practices; ensure participation of all team members in safety initiatives. Requirements Must be
locally available in Qatar
with a
transferable visa
(change of sponsorship). 2–5 years of experience in
equipment rental ,
lifting operations , or
industrial services . Familiarity with
rental management systems ,
equipment tracking software , or ERP tools. Strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills. Understanding of
QA / QC ,
HSE , and
inspection processes . Seniority level
