Senior Mechanical Engineer (Onshore Pipelines) Doha Qatar

We are looking to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Onshore Pipelines) for a national oil and gas operator in Doha Qatar.

Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant post graduate experience in Oil & Gas industry, of which 6 years should be in Pipeline Engineering.

Fluency in English is a must.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Pipeline Engineering activities for projects from initial concept definition phase through to engineering studies, FEED, detailed design and commissioning.
• Create, develop and review workscopes for projects and other engineering activities.
• Ensure the workscope is comprehensive and clear.
• Ensure required client technical assurance practices, engineering standards, environmental and safety policies are incorporated and followed in workscopes and whilst conducting Pipeline Engineering activities.
• Review technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards and practices.
• Support Engineering Department to review, update and apply client standards and client amendments to external standards.
• Plan and coordinate activities of a team of multidiscipline engineers for providing timely delivery of technical services to meet project requirements.
• Carry out in‑house site surveys, engineering and design.
• Produce, review, check and approve in‑house designs and specifications.
• Coordinate designs, specifications and workscopes created by multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Review and approve method statements developed by contracted organisations for scope compliance.
• Liaise with contracted organisations to resolve technical issues.
• Develop, update and monitor schedules for in‑house engineering activities.
• Conduct evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliance.
• Review and evaluate contract changes / variations to approved guidelines and practices.
• Support the development of personal technical competency and skills of coworkers.
• Participate in structured training for Associate Engineers.
