- This position is physically located in Qatar
The Transportation Coordinator must be capable of monitoring, but not limited to, the following movement control functions : Customer Service; Convoy Briefings; Staging Area Management; Hazardous Materiel (HAZMAT) Documentation Certification; Movement Control Reports; RFID Management; Document Cargo; Container Management; and Safety Briefings. The Transportation Coordinator must be familiar with Hazardous Materiel (HAZMAT), Integrated Booking System Container Management Module (IBS-CMM), Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags, and Cargo Movement Operations System (CMOS).
Responsibilities

Monitors all transportation movements.Assists in sourcing new modes of transportation and carriers.Analyzes freight performance costs for carriers.Monitors scheduled movements.Coordinates security with teams and Movement Control Teams (MCTs).Inputs convoy movement data into ledger, closes convoy entries, and tracks convoys on Movement Tracking System (MTS).Retrieves convoy reports from MCTs via NIPR computers.Contacts MCTs when reports are not received on time.Assists in creating circulation overlays.Maintains historical data on all movements.Possesses the ability to perform movement control operations.Familiar with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operations, such as forklifts (4K, 6K, 10K, 12K, 14K) and container handlers (100K).Knowledge of ocean freight shipment procedures through SPOE / D.Leads cargo truck convoys and oversees mission coordination, safety, and accountability.Performs other duties as required.Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications : Education / Certifications : One-year related experience may substitute for one year of education if a degree is required.Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and host nation Driver’s License.Must have a valid U.S. Passport.Must be a U.S. citizen.High School Diploma or equivalent; copy required.Experience : Minimum of three (3) years in transportation, demonstrating leadership skills.Skills : Attention to detail, knowledge of MHE operations, ocean freight procedures, workload prioritization, working under pressure, intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and organizational skills.Working Conditions : Capable of working in extreme weather (>120°F), in harsh indoor / outdoor environments, including desert conditions.
