Ensuring that the restaurant's Bar section is managed efficiently according to the established concept statement, providing warm and genuine service delivered with passion and dedication, exceeding our guests’ expectations at all times. Responsibilities
Guest Satisfaction : Ensure the delivery of brand promise, demonstrating and reinforcing Rosewood Hotels and Resorts culture and brand standards; ensure associates provide excellent service to guests and, when appropriate, to other divisions; observe guest–associate interactions in public areas and coach associates in guest service skills as needed; resolve all guest and associate complaints quickly and efficiently; maintain positive guest and associate interactions and good working relationships; implement agreed beverage policy and procedures throughout the property. Finance / Administration : Ensure the bar runs efficiently with correct stock levels for all areas; communicate on business performance, successes, concerns, and support requirements; assist Bar Manager with administrative tasks including associate reviews, forms, stocktaking, and disciplinary paperwork; ensure departments under your control operate with appropriate manpower / productivity ratios; benchmark against direct competitors; assist the Bar Manager to achieve monthly / annual targets and outlet revenue. Operations : Maintain full knowledge of bar floor plan / layout, F&B offerings, bar OS&E and garnishes, menu details, and prices; know daily hotel occupancy, arrivals / departures, and SAGs guests; be familiar with local events to answer guest requests; manage Micros, OpenTable, Knowcross and other systems as required; establish rapport with guests; ensure associates understand and follow rules and regulations; exhibit professional management behavior; adhere to fire, hygiene, health and safety policies; stay aware of industry trends and local hospitality landscape; build a personal profile as the managerial face of the bar; handle guest inquiries and complaints promptly; work toward high guest recognition and knowledge of guest preferences; maintain confidentiality with SAGs customers and ensure data is added to the reservation in-house database; ensure associates follow Bar Order of Service and SOPs; mentor and train associates; monitor training needs and ensure development within the departmental program; ensure effective communication; take disciplinary actions when needed in line with T&C guidelines; prepare weekly schedules with the Bar Manager; organize monthly team meetings and daily briefings; complete bar closing tasks; reflect on survey results and implement changes; monitor bar maintenance and report issues. Standard Responsibilities : Comply with Rosewood policies; act as a brand ambassador; model company culture, vision, mission, and core values; review and maintain Forbes / Rosewood Brand standards and quality standards; embrace new technology and equipment to improve productivity; establish inclusive two-way communication; participate in recruitment in conjunction with Talent & Culture; identify training needs and support associates; lead by example in appearance and behavior; supervise a two-way communication framework, including regular departmental meetings.
