Responsibilities & Duties

• Diagnose and treat oral health conditions :
• Conduct examinations to diagnose issues, including cancer screenings, injuries, and decay.
• Perform surgeries :
• Carry out complex procedures such as wisdom tooth extractions, dental implant placements, jaw surgeries, and corrective surgeries for conditions like cleft lip and palate.
• Develop treatment plans :
• Create and implement individualized plans for patients, considering their specific dental and overall health needs.
• Provide patient care and education :
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive measures to maintain oral health.
• Manage anesthesia and sedation :
• Administer anesthesia and sedation in a safe and compliant manner for surgical procedures.
• Maintain records :
• Keep accurate, detailed, and up-to-date records of patient treatments, progress, and care.
• Collaborate with other professionals :
• Work effectively with other dental professionals, such as orthodontists and periodontists, as well as medical specialists.
• Ensure safety and compliance :
• Adhere to strict health, safety, and infection control regulations to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Supervise staff :
• May supervise dental assistants, hygienists, and other support staff during surgical procedures.
