BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services WLL | Full time The IT Service Delivery Manager is accountablefor providing technical management and the provision of robust IT servicesacross the BSL Group.
Reporting directly to the Head of BusinessOperations & Procurement, the postholder is responsible for the installation, commissioning and ongoing supportof all aspects of the IT solution in support of the BSL Group.
Additionally, the post holder is responsiblefor all day-to-day administration and support activities of the IT solution inplace for the BSL Group.
This role will be based in BSL Qatar’s HeadOffice supporting operations and Entities across the BSL Group. It is requiredto deliver co-ordination and execution of the Non-Recurring and Recurring ITaspects of the IT Services. The role requires liaison with teams within our JVPartner Services, reach back ranging from technical help to management aspectsof the cloud network.
Duties and Responsibilities
Accountable for Solution Implementation andSupport :
- Leadthe coordination of IT system installation, commissioning, and ongoingperformance, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Provideexpert technical support and strategic recommendations to the Operations andProcurement teams during IT-related third-party negotiations.
- Overseeand execute routine system maintenance, ensuring optimal performance andsecurity.
- Actas a key liaison with internal stakeholders across the group, delivering clearreports and updates on IT solutions.
- Assistin the governance and management of IT infrastructure and cloud-basedsolutions, ensuring compliance with business and regulatory standards.
- Supportand enhance business applications hosted on the Azure platform, including ERMsoftware and customer-facing hardware solutions.
- Workclosely with Procurement to oversee the procurement, lifecycle management, anddeployment of IT assets.
- Manageadministrative functions for application platforms, including user accountcreation, role management, and permissions.
- Overseeand optimise SharePoint usage and administration to enhance collaboration anddocument management.
Stakeholder Management :
Establishand maintain effective communication with key project stakeholders to fostercollaboration and transparency in IT initiatives.Engage with JV Partner Services to ensurealignment with IT solution strategies, gaining buy-in for deployment plans.Digital Transformation & IT, Data andDigital Strategy
Drivethe development, implementation and continuous improvement of BSL’s IT, Data andDigital Strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and future growthplans.Spearheaddigital transformation projects to modernise IT infrastructure, enhanceoperational efficiency and drive innovation across the organisationIdentifyopportunities to leverage emerging technologies, automation and AI-driven solutionsto optimize business processes and enhance user experience.Collaborationwith senior leadership, and external vendors to ensure successfulimplementation of digital initiatives managing change effectively across theOrganisaitonEstablishframeworks for data governance, analytics and reporting enabling informeddecision making and ensuring data security and complianceMonitorindustry trends, evaluate new technologies and recommend strategic investmentsthat drive digital innovation and business efficiency.ProjectManagement :
Leadreporting efforts on IT development, deployment, and ongoing serviceperformance during mobilisation and operational phases.EnsureIT projects meet deadlines and adhere to the governance framework of JV PartnerServices concerning cloud network management.Assistin risk assessment and mitigation strategies to enhance the success of ITsolution roll-outs.Buildand maintain strong relationships with UK based and offshore IT suppliers toensure high quality service delivery.Monitorand manage the performance of Qatari based IS / IT suppliers, ensuring compliancewith service agreements and business expectations.Conduct issue analysis and troubleshootingfor IT hardware and software to ensure uninterrupted service availability forbusiness operations. Createand update documentation to promote efficiency and continuous improvement.Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or arelated field is highly desirable.Certifications in IT infrastructure (e.g., CompTIA, ITIL) are highlydesirable.Microsoft Azure Administrator certification is preferred.Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is an advantage.Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure management and cloud basedplatforms (especially Microsoft Azure).Proven experience in managing business applications and platforms,including ERM software and SharePoint administration.Familiarity with vendor and supplier management, particularly in ITprocurement processes.Knowledge of IT governance and compliance frameworks, includingexperience working within structured governance systems (e.g., JV PartnerServices Governance Framework).Hands on experience troubleshooting and supporting hardware and softwareissues.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to overseeend-to-end deployment and management of IT systems.Strong technical support capabilities, providing clear and effectivesolutions during negotiations and issue resolution.Proficient in managing and administering user accounts, permissions, andsecurity controls across platforms.Effective communication skills, with the ability to deliver clearupdates to stakeholders and liaise with suppliers.Analytical problem-solving skills, ensuring quick resolution ofIT-related issues.Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities andmaintain high levels of accuracy and efficiency.BSL’s Core Competenciesare : Collaboration, Trust, Customer Focus and Change Leadership.The specific competencies for this roleare : Influence and Persuasion, Critical Thinking, Coaching & Mentoring andVision.#J-18808-Ljbffr
