System Expert

Overview

In this role, you will provide technical assistance, support, and maintenance for computer systems, software and hardware. You will analyse requirements, resolve problems, install hardware and software solutions, and support the internal IT System Administrator. You will be responsible for administration and internal support. Key Duties & Responsibilities IT Infrastructure Experience (Data Center, IIS, Web servers, Clustering, Load Balancers, SAN storage, NAS storage, Blade Servers, Rack servers, Backups, Patch Management, Vulnerability Management, Office 365 E5, Azure Cloud services, Google Cloud, knowledge about Azure DevOps, IT product evaluation, team management)

Develop and follow best practice guidelines with Security Admin to create system-level policies and procedures, improve hardening of servers

Apply ITIL and MOF frameworks; document and follow internal procedures

Cloud services experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud and Google Cloud

Know-how about Antivirus End Point solutions

Submit daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports

Maintain inventory of all data center equipment and cloud assets, software licenses, and hardware; ensure renewals before expiry

Support purchasing hardware and software for preparing RFP technical specifications

Support evaluation of IT projects

Remain on-site to complete tasks or pending work as required, including holidays when necessary

Plan all downtime according to approval and change management processes

Troubleshoot events viewer errors, hardware errors, and audit trails; ensure high availability and 24x7 system uptime

Support all business servers (back-end and front-end) in a cluster / Load Balancer environment

Participate in integration scenarios

Audit automated day-to-day backup operations, test backup efficiency, and perform manual backup / restore as required

Support Line-of-Business (LOB) applications

Evaluate, test, and deploy infrastructure components’ hot fixes, service packs, and upgrades; perform timely maintenance on workstations, servers, hardware, and network devices

Patching servers based on company policy

Education & Qualification Educational certification : bachelor’s degree

12 to 15 years of experience

Candidates should have Azure architecture, Azure Administrator, EMC Storage, Azure DevOps

Vulnerability Assessment, CCNA, CEH
