Senior Technician (Electronic / Electro-optic)

Overview

Reporting to the Maintenance Section Supervisor, this position will provide ‘hands-on’ Maintenance and Repair support to the electronic and electrooptic payloads fitted to military vehicles. The position requires an individual that has significant experience in maintaining various electronic and electronic systems in a military environment. Training on the specific systems will be provided.

As a Senior Technician, this position has low level supervisory responsibilities. The successful individual will be required to oversee other Technicians, work independently and on occasion directly communicate with the End User and lead tasks as directed by his supervisor.

The position will predominantly be based within a specific workshop however will require occasional travel to other locations in and around Doha.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on maintenance and repair support for electronic and electrooptic payloads on military vehicles.
• Supervise other Technicians, work independently, lead tasks, and communicate with End Users as directed.
• Operate primarily from a multi-purpose, large-scale hanger facility and support field locations as needed.
• Lead tasks and oversee small teams of Technicians within the section.
• Advise supervisory staff of areas of concern regarding defects, safety and procedures.
• Carry out fault diagnosis and analysis for reported failures.
• Ensure work is completed to Company procedures and instructions.
• Maintain awareness of inventory management and conform to local procedures.
• Report faults or issues to the responsible Supervisor.
• Adhere to local policy and procedure, including Health and Safety regulations.
• Work from various locations within Doha as required, including driving to locations in company vehicles.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
