Overview
The CSWIP Welding Inspector will be responsible for conducting welding inspections during pipeline installation, including fit-up, in-process, and final inspections. The role requires ensuring compliance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), monitoring welder performance, and verifying weld quality through visual inspections and relevant testing methods.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding inspections (fit-up, in-process, and final inspection) during pipeline installation.
- Monitor welder performance to ensure adherence to approved WPS.
- Conduct visual inspections of welds and confirm compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Document inspection findings and prepare reports for project records.
- Coordinate with construction and quality teams to resolve welding-related issues.
- Ensure strict compliance with company and client quality assurance procedures.
Qualifications
Diploma or Graduate Engineer (Mechanical)ASNT Level 2 in UT, MT, PT, and RTValid CSWIP 3.2.2 Certification (mandatory).Minimum 12 years of Oil and Gas experience.Strong knowledge of welding processes, standards, and inspection methods.Good communication skills in any language (English preferred).Seniority level
