Planning and managing surveying operations Researching legal records to determine boundary lines Gathering data and measuring distances Determining points of reference Interpreting survey data Calculating angles, elevations, slopes, areas, perimeters Using Global Positioning Systems (GPS) equipment Completing topographical surveys Creating sketches or maps of surveyed land areas Qualifications

Two years of experience in land surveying Good knowledge of surveying principles and practices Strong mathematical skills Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Demonstrated experience with GPS equipment or other surveying instruments Benefits
