Ancillary Services Manager

الوصف الوظيفيRequired Skills and Knowledge Experience Required : Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in healthcare administration. Education Required : Clinical background with experience leading allied healthcare professionals. MBA or MS in Health Care or Hospital Administration or Advanced Professional degree is highly preferred. Current American Heart Association / Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Key Skills : Work within a team and promote all Intl. SOS policies and procedures. Understand complexities of culturally sensitive healthcare. Perform miscellaneous role-related duties as assigned. Ability to recognise limitations and areas of self-development through reflection. Efficient and effective management and accountability. Maintain accurate medical records. Essential Capabilities : Strong decision making and problem-solving techniques. Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet demanding deadlines. Ability to provide competent, comprehensive care under stressful situations. Results oriented and able to meet project deliverables. Cultural sensitivity and awareness with the willingness to work with a foreign national patient population. Effective oral, written communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient IT skills including use of electronic medical records systems and software skills. Physical Requirements : Work is normally performed in a typical interior / office work environment. Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs. Other Special Qualifications : Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate. US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required. Must be able to relocate to Qatar. A valid passport is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport.
Overall Purpose Of The Job
The Ancillary Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the following ancillary departments : Health and Safety, PrevMed, Public Health, Mortuary Affairs, Imaging, and Laboratory Services. This role will ensure that our facilities are in line with all contractual requirements; additionally, this role with ensure our clinicians have everything they need to provide the highest level of service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures daily operations of Health and Safety, PrevMed, Public Health, Mortuary Affairs, Imaging and Laboratory Services.
- Coordinates with Project Management Office (PMO) to help manage general operations, human resources and recruiting.
- Covers the PMO duties as required per project needs.
- Plans and prioritizes day to day activities and tasks.
- Works collaboratively with the Chief Medical Officer and Nurse Manager to provide the highest level of medical care with the resources given.
- Drives and develops the quality agenda for the ancillary services.
- Represents International SOS to the Prime and / or government personnel.
- Works closely with recruiting and HR to ensure adequate staffing and a positive working environment and culture.
- Responds to contract, facility, and other emergencies.
- Other duties as assigned.
