SR. TRADING & MARKETING REGULNS OFFICER

Primary Purpose Of The Job

Provide regulatory support to QatarEnergy and its HQ-based subsidiaries ("QatarEnergy") in conducting trading and marketing activities (including QatarEnergy Trading, QatarEnergy LNG Marketing and QatarEnergy Marketing and Trading) where such support is in connection with the laws, regulations and exchange rules specific to the products being traded or marketed ("Trading & Marketing Regulations"). This includes the preparation and review of internal policies and procedures and the implementation of internal processes (including reporting measures) to ensure compliance with Trading & Marketing Regulations. The role also supports the LCV division on projects involving Trading & Marketing Regulations, and provides assistance to the LCG division on monitoring and surveillance activities consistent with these regulations.

Required Experience And Skills

• Minimum ten years’ experience in legal, compliance, governance, audit or internal control functions, ideally in an energy trading environment; knowledge of industry technological tools is attractive.
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in written and spoken English; additional language skills are advantageous.
• Proven people skills and experience working in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 suite of applications.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Studies, Law or equivalent from an internationally recognized university.
