Reporting tothe Manager, Institutional Research, the Data Analysis and ResearchSpecialist should be a proven leader with the skills and expertisenecessary to support the Institutional Excellence Directorate infully implementing the University’s mission and vision.Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible forensuring the demonstration of institutional effectiveness throughongoing, integrated and institution-wide research-based activitiesby conducting data analysis on performance of individual trainingproviders comparative across the entity. The successful candidatewill be responsible to assist in interpreting data, analyzingresults using statistical techniques, and providing analyticalreports to support strategic initiatives and decision-making. Thesuccessful candidate will contribute to the preparation of timelyand accurate reports to meet the section requirements, policies andstandards. S / He will also produce regular and annual reports onInstitutional Effectiveness trends and areas for improvement basedon data analysis. The successful candidate will adhere to the setpolicies and procedures including conflict of interest, risk,complaints, data collection and management systems (includingconfidentiality) and report any breaches as necessary. Thesuccessful candidate will conduct regular and ad hoc research andstudies on institutional-impacting issues to support ongoingassessment toward improving Institutional effectiveness includingadministrative programs, academic programs, student success andstudent services. The successful candidate will assist indeveloping and implementing database, data collection systems, dataanalytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiencyand quality. The successful candidate will assist in preparinginstitutional annual reports and publications and provide technicalexpertise on data storage structures, data mining, and datacleansing. The successful candidate will maintain confidentialitycompliance and follow all internal and governmental regulationsregarding data management.
