Al Ahli Hospital Award for Arab Pioneers in Medicine

Al Ahli Hospital in Doha, Qatar, is pleased to announce the opening of nominations for the Al Ahli Hospital Award for Arab Pioneers in Medicine, granted every two years to an Arabic physician who has made outstanding contributions to his or her patients, community, and humanity at large — earning distinction and recognition for exemplary service.

The first edition of the award was presented to Professor Sir Magdi Yacoub, the renowned cardiac surgeon.

Nominees should meet the following criteria :

Have made significant contributions and demonstrated excellence in the medical field.

Preference will be given to candidates whose work aligns with the vision of Al Ahli Hospital and the State of Qatar in providing medical services across the Arab World through :

Contribution to medical institutions in clinical services or healthcare administration.

Active involvement in medical education and training.

Possession of outstanding professional achievements, national or international awards and recognitions.

Collaboration with national or international organizations and health bodies.

Engagement in voluntary and charitable community health services.
