Overview Supervise and coordinate daily civil construction activities and manpower on site. Ensure all works (formwork, rebar, concrete, structural works, trenching, etc.) are executed per approved drawings, specifications, and method statements. Monitor and enforce compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations. Ensure effective use of materials, equipment, and manpower to meet productivity and quality targets. Liaise with subcontractors, engineers, and other foremen for sequencing and timely execution of civil works. Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure all workers follow safe work practices. Maintain accurate daily site records, including labor deployment, progress, equipment use, and material receipts. Ensure proper implementation of quality control procedures and inspection requests. Coordinate with QA / QC team for inspections and approvals. Identify and report any design, quality, or safety issues to the Site Engineer or Project Manager. Assist in the preparation of look-ahead schedules and planning site logistics.
Qualifications
Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum 7–10 years of civil construction experience, with at least 2–3 years in water infrastructure or desalination projects.
Strong knowledge of civil engineering construction methods, especially foundations, concrete, and underground works.
Familiarity with desalination plant components (e.g., tanks, basins, pump houses, pipe trenches) is an advantage.
Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and technical documents.
Experience in managing a team of skilled and unskilled laborers.
Knowledge of HSE regulations and ability to enforce site safety.
Basic computer literacy (MS Excel, reporting tools) is a plus.
