Overview

The Marine Construction Manager will oversee all marine construction activities for a large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project in Qatar. This role involves managing marine civil works, dredging, piling, quay wall construction, jetty installation, and other offshore / marine structures. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise in marine construction, and compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise marine construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution.
• Manage dredging, reclamation, piling, quay wall, breakwater, and jetty construction.
• Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and local regulations.
• Oversee marine equipment (dredgers, barges, cranes, piling rigs) and vessel operations.
• Monitor progress, prepare daily / weekly reports, and mitigate risks and delays.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and government authorities for approvals and inspections.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and labor to ensure productivity and quality.
• Resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with international marine construction standards (e.g., PIANC, IMO, BS, ASTM).
