Safety Engineer

Job Description

Major Duties / Responsibilities :

• Ensures effective implementation and maintenance of safety policies and programs to ensure occupational and personnel safety within the premises & projects.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with the operations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the facilities, equipment, and projects to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct investigations into safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and develop actionable recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
• Analyses the causes behind such accidents / incidents, conducts preventive and corrective safety checks as per prescribed standards and ensures readiness of all measures to be taken
• Develop and implement emergency response plans, conduct regular drills, and ensure that all personnel are adequately trained for emergency situations.
• Continuously evaluate and improve safety programs and procedures to enhance the overall safety culture.
• Assists in the development of safety management procedures, in compliance with all relevant quality standards and procedural / legislative requirements
