Accountabilities
Serve as the primary liaison between the DBS team and designated business lines, maintaining professional and collaborative relationships. Coordinate service requests from the business and ensure timely, effective responses. Manage and maintain the applications and systems portfolio across designated business areas, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime. Identify business needs and lead the implementation of effective, value-adding digital solutions aligned with enterprise architecture principles. Key Activities
Act as the main point of contact for a suite of services and independently manage associated applications to maintain optimal service levels. Provide day-to-day support for three Surface departments : Engineering & Construction (E&C), CPD, and MP. Manage and optimize the Surface Solutions portfolio across multiple business lines. Collaborate closely with business focal points to ensure high user satisfaction. Deliver Level 3 support and technical expertise for business-critical applications. Coordinate with external vendors for application support, maintenance, and service improvements. Supervise developers and consultants involved in upgrades and ongoing support. Oversee contracts and license management for applications used by the business line. Provide expert advice to end users, business stakeholders, and internal teams based on deep technical knowledge. Maintain detailed documentation, including interface designs, service matrices, service catalogues, standard operating procedures, etc. Act as Technical Lead on projects related to the Surface domain. Monitor application performance, availability, and usage, and generate reports for analysis and optimization. Ensure all activities align with internal policies, standards, and quality expectations. Implement cost-efficient solutions that meet business requirements and follow DBS best practices. Collaborate with internal DBS architecture teams to define and validate technical designs for new solutions. Guide business stakeholders to align with DBS strategy and maintain system coherence. Capture business demand and manage it from initiation through to successful execution. Collect and analyze feedback from end-users ("voice of the customer") to drive continuous improvement. Act as Product Subject Matter Expert (SME) for digital use cases in the designated business line. Qualifications & Experience
Education :
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related engineering field. Professional Experience : Minimum 15 years of experience in IS / IT, with strong exposure to enterprise environments. At least 10 years of hands-on experience in application implementation and maintenance. Minimum 5 years of experience supporting various corporate business functions. Proven expertise in technical domains such as : Application development Solutions integration Databases Web and cloud technologies Skills and Competencies
Strong project management abilities. Well-organized and capable of working in high-administration environments. Collaborative team player with a pragmatic, solution-focused mindset. Able to multitask and adapt to change in a dynamic work setting. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
