Loss Prevention Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections and audits of KAHRAMAA facilities, substations, workshops, warehouses, and project sites to ensure compliance with fire safety and loss prevention standards.
• Review and verify life safety designs for new and existing facilities in line with KAHRAMAA, QCDD, and NFPA requirements.
• Review and approve drawings, test reports, method statements, and material submittals related to loss prevention systems.
• Supervise and monitor site activities, pre-commissioning, and testing of loss prevention systems, ensuring all works comply with KAHRAMAA HSE specifications.
• Evaluate and approve materials and equipment used for fire detection, suppression, and smoke management systems to confirm compliance with international standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal departments on all loss prevention and fire safety‑related activities.
• Review and comment on As‑built drawings, O&M manuals and other technical documentation.
• Apply in-depth understanding of fire protection system design , fire dynamics , and risk analysis techniques (qualitative and quantitative) in project evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with QCDD regulations, NFPA Codes & Standards and act as an active NFPA member .
• Contribute to continuous improvement of fire safety procedures , evacuation planning , and means of egress design .
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations for corrective and preventive measures.
• Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills with a proactive approach to safety management.
