MECHANICAL ENGINEER (OPS ENG)

Primary Purpose of the Job

Directs, inspects and coordinates maintenance work on Oil & Gas equipment.

Manage the work of assigned personnel including allocation of operational availability and reliability at all times.

Schedule workloads and set priorities including inspections of production operations to ensure their safe and efficient operation.

Provide technical assistance.

Maintain equipment documentation, movable lists, drawings and input to the database for new equipment.

Ensure SAP records are updated, and provide all technical records according to ISO standards.

Troubleshoot plant equipment, coach and appraise staff performance, and develop staff for contractor work.

Required Experience and Skills

Minimum 10 years experience in maintenance of various equipment.

Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in similar equipment in oil and gas or petrochemical industry.

Management skills.

Engineering and project management skills.

Leadership and motivational skills, good knowledge of capacity.

Educational Qualifications

B. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Must have satisfied the academic requirements for Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
