In essence, youwill build the team and make these things happen :

Attracting& OnboardingTalent :

Feed the imec Talent Acquisition strategy with localinsights to ensure a successful campaign attracting international technical talent.

Execute the localhiring process &lead the recruitment of 30 employees in the first year acrossResearch & development,engineeringand support roles.

Co-ordinate the relocation process for international hires, includingsupport withvisa / work permit, housing, andfamily requirements (e.g. schooling).

Work with imec HR management to co-design and implement a comprehensive onboarding plan for new hires.

HR Operations & Entity Setup :

Support the local management withlegal and administrative processesduring theestablishment ofthe new entity (e.g.,laborregistration, social security, tax registration).

Proposeand managelocalvendors for visa support, relocation services, payroll processing, and otherpeople-related services.

Work with imec HR management to co-developpeoplepolicies and procedures specific to the Qatar office, leading to a local employee handbook.

Work with the local management and imec HR management to defineadequatereward packagesand benefits.

Do you tick most of these boxes?

Hands-on experience indifferent rolesin HR, including talent acquisition, compensation &benefitsand / or international mobility.

Experience in a start-up or withestablishinga new business entity inthe Middle East is a strong plus. Bonus points if you did this before in Qatar.

Knowledgeof, and network with, local instances that will regulateimec’sactivities in Doha such asimmigration, visa,social security.

Excellent cross-culturalawareness andcommunication skills, with the ability to act as a cultural bridge between a European headquarters and a local Qatari operation.(Arabicproficiencyis a strong plus).

Willingness to learn fast, a can-do mentality andstrongproblem solvingskills. It will be you we depend upon to get us started!
