The Service Engineer - Diagnostic Technician plays a crucial role in the automotive industry, particularly within a dealership and distributor setting. This position is responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a passion for automotive technology. They will work closely with customers to provide exceptional service and support, ensuring that all repairs are completed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities :

  • Diagnose vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of automotive systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Collaborate with service advisors to provide accurate estimates and timelines for repairs.
  • Maintain detailed records of all service work performed on vehicles.
  • Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through continuous training.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and dealership policies.
  • Assist in training junior technicians and apprentices.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's condition and repair needs.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss service performance and improvement strategies.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized workshop environment.
