Rollup Door Technician

Position Summary :

Perform the following inspections as specified : annual inspections and service on all overhead rollup and sectional doors, Air Base rollup doors, sectional doors, and hangar door. Perform P.M. to ensure reliable and continuous safe operation of all doors. The maintenance work shall be IAW all commercial best practices and manufacturer’s specifications, and US Air force specific PMTL guidance, to include; lubrication of gearboxes, clearing tracks, and chains, checking door curtain or panels for operational defects, worn or broken parts, weather seals, springs and cable tension, condition of spring and / or cables, limit switches, motor or gear box leaks, door alignment, binding of doors, door leveling, safety devices, safety edges, safety lens devices ‘cat eyes’, wiring of control circuits as well as motor circuits and switches, and that all doors are adjusted properly, as well as operating correctly.

This is a 100% overseas assignment with the expectation to operate in various environments, including potentially austere or wartime conditions, and may involve shift work, overtime, and exposure to challenging elements.

U.S. Government Secret Clearance Required.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) tasks—including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual inspections—on all overhead roll-up and sectional doors, ensuring proper adjustments, timely repairs, and replacement of any broken or unserviceable components.
  • Execute scheduled maintenance and repair activities in accordance with established PM schedules and manufacturer specifications to maintain equipment functionality and reliability.
  • Accurately document all maintenance and repair actions using the CE NexGen IT (Tririga) system or its designated successor, ensuring traceability and compliance with operational standards.
  • Adhere to a comprehensive safety program that aligns with Vectrus, OSHA, and United States Air Force (USAF) safety regulations, promoting a culture of workplace safety and risk mitigation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional working environment by ensuring that all facilities are sanitary, organized, and free of dust, debris, and unnecessary clutter.
  • Participate in a structured training program that supports ongoing technical development, safety awareness, and operational proficiency.
  • Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and security of all government- and contractor-furnished tools, equipment, and facilities assigned in support of daily operations.
  • Accurately complete time reporting in accordance with company procedures, ensuring timely and precise submission of timesheets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support contractual obligations, mission requirements, and operational readiness.

Qualifications :

  • Journeyman card for resepctie trade provided through a recognized apprentice program or state certification and / or

    • current or expired state Contractor’s license for the respective trade and / or evidence of passing the International Code Council (ICC) national journeyman or master certification exam (i.e., electrician, HVAC mechanic, plumber, etc.) and / or nationally recognized certification program and / or documented military journeyman level or higher experience in the respective trade, as identified on a DD214.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current, valid U. S. Passport.
  • Must have and maintain a valid U. S. SECRET Security Clearance prior to deployment.
  • Must accept that position is full time and 100% overseas assignment
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Must have an excellent understanding of all safety directives and polices regarding the operation of equipment.
  • Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License and able to drive with a manual transmission.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • Must be able to pass a flight line access test and obtain flight line access badge.
  • Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.
  • Candidates must successfully complete both online and hands on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) defense training. Training includes the successful fit testing of DoD provided protective gear.

    • Other Requirements :

  • Work will be primarily indoors, but may be outdoors to support various company needs
  • Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and chemicals is likely to occur
  • Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs.
  • Must be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support U.S. interests

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Air Force Civil Engineering experience highly sought after (3E3X1)
  • Having deployed or worked overseas is highly preferred
  • Veterans highly sought after

    • Location : Doha, Qatar

    Total Compensation : $94-96,000
