Linum Consult’s client is a major organisation in Qatar. They are urgently seeking a Senior iOS Engineer with expertise in Swift and Objective-C to join their team in Doha.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Designing, developing, and maintaining iOS applications using Swift and Objective-C
Collaborating with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences
Refactoring, modernising, and optimising existing Objective-C codebases into Swift where applicable
Ensuring applications meet high standards of performance, security, and reliability
Implementing and maintaining unit tests, UI tests, and automated pipelines for app quality assurance
Staying up to date with the latest iOS development best practices, frameworks, and tools
Mentoring junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and promoting engineering excellence across the team

PROFILE

7-8 years’ minimum experience within the IT sector in iOS development

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or similar subject

Excellent expertise in Swift, with hands-on experience shipping production apps

Working knowledge of SwiftUI and Combine

Strong understanding of Objective-C and the ability to maintain or extend legacy codebases

Proficient in iOS frameworks (UIKit, CoreData, CoreAnimation, AVFoundation, etc.)

Experience with RESTful APIs and networking in mobile apps

Familiar with concurrency models (GCD, Operation Queues, async / await)

Strong understanding of memory management, ARC, and app lifecycles

Experienced in CI / CD pipelines, automated testing, and code quality tools

Familiar with the App Store submission process, certificates, and provisioning profiles

Fluency in spoken and written English is essential
