Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact between Qatar Energy, manufacturers / suppliers, and other Applus scope office / inspection personnel.
Ensure seamless coordination of worldwide inspection activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and conflict resolution.
Maintain direct communication with Qatar Energy representatives and provide updates on inspection progress, issues, and resolutions.
Regularly expedite with manufacturers / suppliers, including sub‑vendors, regarding inspection schedules and progress of jobs, and report to Qatar Energy during weekly review meetings.
Oversee mobilization and demobilization of inspection personnel as per Qatar Energy’s requirements.
Inspection Scheduling & Execution
Verify and confirm inspection notifications (NFIs) from vendors / manufacturers, ensuring alignment with Qatar Energy’s PO requirements and approved ITPs.
Arrange inspections within 3 working days of vendor notification and ensure inspectors are available within a 300‑KM radius of the manufacturer’s facility.
Coordinate urgent inspections (e.g., emergency requests) within 24 hours, excluding circumstances beyond control.
Monitor and expedite inspection schedules to avoid delays in PO delivery dates.
Documentation & Reporting
Submit weekly progress reports (every Sunday) and monthly KPI / HSE reports (by the 3rd of each month) to Qatar Energy.
Ensure all inspection reports (including QC Surveillance, NCRs, and IRNs) are submitted within 2 working days, with flash reports for critical issues on the same day.
Review and endorse inspection reports, certifications, and Manufacturer Data Books (MDBs) before submission to Qatar Energy.
Maintain a transmittal log of all communications (emails, faxes, reports) with Qatar Energy and vendors.
Submit CVs of proposed inspection personnel to Qatar Energy for approval at least 1 week in advance.
Ensure inspectors meet minimum qualifications (e.g., 10+ years of experience).
Replace underperforming inspectors immediately upon Qatar Energy’s request and propose alternatives.
Maintain an updated list of approved inspectors and coordinators, submitted monthly.
Meetings & Communication
Attend weekly review meetings with the Client.
Participate in quarterly meetings with Client management.
Facilitate Kick‑off Meetings (KOMs) and Pre‑Inspection Meetings (PIMs).
Verify completed inspections and ensure all reports (QC Surveillance, IRNs, MDBs) are approved by the Client before invoicing.
Qualifications
Minimum of 10+ years of inspection experience.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in coordinating multi‑site inspections and managing vendor relationships.
Knowledge of Qatar Energy standards and ITP processes.
