The Training Instructor – Avionics is responsible for preparing and delivering both theoretical and practical training related to the Typhoon Type, including specialist and support training. They assess trainee performance and evaluate the efficacy of the training system. Formal training occurs within the Qatar Typhoon Training Facility (QTTF) and is augmented by mentored training in the operational environment. The role also includes duties within the Squadron Training Cell to develop, maintain, and manage the competencies of Squadron personnel. Key responsibilities include : Preparation and delivery of courses according to the authorized syllabus and training schedule within the Training Management Information System (TMIS). Invigilating and marking examinations and assessments. Continuously assessing, evaluating, and reporting trainee progress. Developing and maintaining the competencies of Squadron personnel. Ensuring trainees use appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and observe safety procedures during practical training. Carrying out equipment pre-use checks and ensuring associated data is available before training. Conducting training safely and leaving training areas in a safe condition. Maintaining discipline among trainees at all times. Reporting trainee absences to the Training Instructor Supervisor and / or Head of Maintenance. Supporting the QTTF by fulfilling roles such as Subject Lead and Training Aircraft and Equipment Coordinator, among others. Developing and maintaining personal instructor competencies. Actively engaging in continuous improvement by identifying and reporting deficiencies and suggesting improvements to training systems and materials. Requirements

Possess a Level 3 or higher Training Qualification (e.g., Level 3 Award in Education & Training, Level 4 Certificate, Level 5 Diploma). Hold a recognized qualification at NVQ3 / ONC level or equivalent in a relevant aircraft maintenance discipline. Have recent in-depth experience (minimum 5 years) supporting Maintenance & Support environments, including direct training support. Understand the Regulatory Framework applicable to the training system and activities. Have at least 2 years of experience delivering aircraft Type training, with operational knowledge of instructional delivery and mentoring. Be knowledgeable of Training structures and processes, capable of developing and implementing solutions. Be self-sufficient in common training aspects and capable of handling complex professional tasks within the training team.
