Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10-12 years’ experience in electrical and / or instrument maintenance work and must be fluent in English.

Key Responsibilities :

• Coordinate with all location electrical engineers to manage electrical maintenance for non-operational buildings / facilities at all FM locations.
• Direct and monitor planning, tendering, and execution of electrical maintenance works, ensuring cost optimization and compliance with HSSE and relevant procedures.
• Provide guidance and technical assistance to subordinates for handling non-routine and high-cost works.
• Review and approve BOQ, scopes, and technical specifications for new tenders.
• Participate in pre-tender meetings, technical and commercial evaluations, and submit evaluation reports.
• Coordinate site mobilization activities following the issue of Letter of Intent, including arranging access permits, site offices, and material storage.
• Ensure contract procedures are followed, develop and review maintenance procedures, and familiarize staff with latest guidelines.
• Review and finalize scope of work, estimates, and budgets for new projects.
• Develop specifications for facility modifications and participate in material sourcing and quality assessment.
• Coordinate with other sections for feasibility, permits, and work planning.
• Develop annual plans and set objectives for the electrical team.

Requirements :

Additional considerations include familiarity with tender specifications, local and international standards, and the ability to understand other disciplines.
